Network Assessment and Planning

Our Network Assessment Model offers multiple levels of assessment, varying in the amount of detail collected and reported. This flexible approach is geared to addressing our customers' preferences and needs. From just a "snapshot" of a representative closet and data center to a comprehensive technical baseline complete with performance documentation and network schematics, HTL's engineers provide valuable information to diagnose problems and calibrate future growth. A Network Assessment and Planning engagement is the first step in determining how to receive maximum performance from existing assets while transitioning current network infrastructures to support future business objectives.

An Assessment may consist of any or all of the following components based on individual client needs:

1. Network Inventory - Collects all necessary data via site visits and on-site interviews to be incorporated into an overall network architecture.

2. Requirements Analysis - Reviews relevant factors, including business drivers, current network infrastructure, industry "best-in-class" practices, and application needs as well as end-user, traffic, and performance requirements.

3. Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) Analysis - Identifies SWOT factors, the implications arising from them, and the potential actions surrounding these issues.

4. Recommendations - As a culmination of inventory, requirements, and SWOT analysis, provides an overview of the network's opportunities and vulnerabilities.
